This workshop focused on the theme: "Presentation and Prioritization of Nature-Based Solutions for the Implementation of Priority Nature-Based Soil, Water, and Land Management Practices in the City of Brazzaville."
The objectives of this workshop were to:
1) Validate the national inventory of integrated water resource management practices.
2) Prioritize relevant integrated water resource management practices for flood and erosion risk reduction.
3) Strengthen local technical capacity for the design and implementation of nature-based solutions. At the end of this workshop, the national inventory document of NBS identified, tested, and evaluated locally was validated by various stakeholders in the Central African Republic.
The workshop was organized as part of the Urban Flood and Gully Erosion Risk Management Project in the Congo Basin, implemented by Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) and OCA Global and funded by the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and the World Bank (WB).
