The aim of this research was to identify and document NBS targeting nature-based soil, water and land management practices that align with the main investment components of World Bank projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and the Central African Republic. As a result of these three research missions, three national inventory documents of NBS identified, tested and evaluated locally were produced, presented and validated by the various stakeholders in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and the Central African Republic.
These three research missions were organized as part of the project on flood and gully erosion risk management in urban areas in the Congo Basin, carried out by Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) and OCA Global and funded by the Global Center for Adaptation (GCA) and the World Bank (WB).
